Good morning! I returned just a few days ago from a very productive trip to Ethiopia. We were there to do 4 things:
Gospel crusades. We had three of them in Addis this time, and then in January we will be having a mega crusade. One of the churches I preached in has planted over 200 growing churches and there was an amazing response. I could hardly get in because there were so many people there.
Church planting. I had a good meeting today with someone who might become our next leader for the vision we have to plant churches in Ethiopia. We have the vision, we know what values we are going to build upon, so now we just need the right people to build with.
Help the Jews. We have just discovered that there are still 8,000 Falash Mura Jews in Ethiopia who we have to help home to Israel.
Quality control of our children’s homes. We did some important quality control of the children’s homes that we are responsible for. We visited the offices and the homes, we asked the tough questions, and we met personally with 40 of the children we support. There is a Jewish proverb that says: “Save a child, save the world.” This photo shows how glad Doretti was to see us again. Four years ago she was an orphan living on the street, sharing food with the dogs. But after she got saved at one of our crusades, we were able to rescue her from the streets and place her into an orphans’ home. She calls me her father, and that’s fine with me. Now she lives in a family unit with 4 other orphaned girls her age along with a house mother. In addition to going to school, they all get regular visits from a psychologist, a social worker, and a nurse.

Doretti was saved through one of our crusades a few years ago, and then rescued from the street into an orphan home. It’s amazing to see how much progress she’s made each time we come back to check on her.

We got to meet with 40 of the orphans that we have helped rescue from the streets. These kids have nothing but thankful hearts and amazing smiles.
Good morning!
