Good morning,

I don’t know if you’ve thought about it, but no matter whether you cut, boil, grind or bake a grain of wheat, it will still be wheat. And no matter what happens to you or in your life, you are still a grain of wheat! Whether it rains for weeks, the sun is scorching, or hail is falling, wheat is still wheat. In the same way that bent wheat rises up again after a hailstorm, over and over you have risen up again as well. Why?  Because what God sowed in you will always “rise again.” There is something in you that can’t be broken, and that something was sown into you by God.

If the kernel is God, then the seed will be wheat and what comes up out of the ground will be wheat. It is impossible for it to be anything other than what was sown, what was in the kernel of the seed. My daughter Rebecka could shave her head, get tattoos all over her body and move to the South Pole, but there is one thing she can’t change: that she’s my daughter. She is of my seed. She is my daughter whether she is sick or healthy, rich or poor, honest or conniving, successful or a failure. Whatever she does, whatever she becomes, she can never stop being from me. If that is true of the seed of man, then it is true of the seed of God. You are sown wheat. You are born again. No matter what happens or what hailstorms you encounter, you are still wheat, you are a child of God and when all is said and done, you will “rise again.” Why? Because he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. You can be trampled on or weighted down, you can be surrounded by weeds that steal the nutrients you need, but if you concentrate on being who you are and stop focusing on the weeds, you will be restored and continue to grow in God. No one can stop that, because no one can stop God and his plan for your life.

Forget the negative, let it go. It might not be easy – but try. What’s negative is the weeds around the wheat, who drain the power you need to grow. Instead remember God’s blessings, the progress you have made, the smiles, the encouragement and the compliments. Use the positive from spring of 2016 as energy for the summer and fall of 2016 and, like Paul, “forget the rest, it’s behind you, and reach forward for what’s ahead.” Rise again!

Good morning,
Tommy
