Good morning.
Jesus hasn’t parked his car and taken a coffee break. Every minute, around the clock, he is working unrelentingly to finish what he came to do: to seek and save the lost. That is where his power is flowing, and your purpose and mine is to be a part of what Jesus is doing. Doing anything else is like rowing against the current in the Holy Spirit.
I think it is important to see the possibilities that God opens up. I don’t know if you’ve thought of this, but you are a possibility for God. When he looks at you, he sees possibilities. He doesn’t look at you the way many others do; instead, he sees the treasure that he has placed inside of you, and it is important that you don’t give up, even if things get tough sometimes.
When I was in school, my teachers didn’t see any possibilities when they looked at me, only impossibilities. My English teacher and religion teacher saw my future in a gray crowd of people who just live their lives and then die. It is true that no one, not me, not even my mother, could predict that I would be doing what I do today. Maybe it’s that way for you sometimes, too? But the way others see you isn’t the way God sees you. My school saw me as impossible, but God saw possibilities. My school saw resistance in me, but God saw something else. It is so important that you don’t lose your faith in God and in the possibilities that he has put inside of you, and no matter how old you are, where you live or what you’ve done – you are a possibility for God!
What is amazing is that when I have had doubts in myself, God has believed in me anyway, and there is no difference between you and me. Maybe you have given up hope, but Jesus hasn’t given you up. He sees your potential.
The potential lies in the plan he has for you. You are his workmanship, created in Christ to do the good things he has prepared, and those good things are connected in one way or another to the mission of seeking and saving save the lost. Do what Jesus is doing – then you will see that doors will open that you didn’t even believe existed.
Jesus hasn’t parked the gospel. The good news is still on its way out and you are a possibility for everyone who hasn’t heard to open the way for them to hear. You are a possibility for God.
